[EVA] No Eva manga stage (Movie SBC translation instead)

There is no Eva manga stage this month, just another Eva2 game parody
manga (Rei) that I will post when I get around to doing the
translation.  So instead, I have attached the translation to a "missing"
Eva movie scene found in the Story Board Collection (SBC) in the limited
edition LD/VHS movie collector's box set.  I don't think I ever posted
this, but even if I did, it deserves to be in the current archives.
According to the SBC sequence, this scene comes just after Shinji's
masturbation scene in Asuka's hospital room, and it carries some
sinister implications if you read between the lines...

Sound: (Jet noise in background, also some helicopter noise)
Description/Notes: [Evening]
  - Transport jets fly overhead, leaving contrails in the sky.
    Slight wavy, dreamlike look.

Cut 32
Sound: (Jet noise continues)
Description/Notes:
  - Chained Junior High School gate -- sign says "Closed".
    Gate is chained and locked with a padlock.

Cut 33
Sound: (Faint basketball dribbling sound)
Description/Notes:
  - Classroom interior strewn with rubble from Eva-00 explosion.
    Evening sun's rays reflect/sparkle off scattered glass shards.

Cut 34
Sound: (Basketball dribbling sound gradually becomes louder)
    Creaking/mechanical sound also heard
Description/Notes:
  - School basketball court.
    All windows facing the court are broken, giving the appearance
    of an abandoned building. Sunlight reflects off remaining glass.
  - Close-up shot of basketball bouncing.
    Pan following basketball to close-up of Touji's wheelchair.
    * Touji is dribbling so basketball should not be so far from
    wheelchair as shown in frame. (Please take care of that.)
  - Pan out at end of cut. Wheelchair does slight wheely.

  - Shot of basketball court from over hoop.
  - Basketball passes in/out of frame through hoop.

Sound: (Dribbling sound)
Description/Notes:
  - Looking at opposite hoop through basket net.
    Shinji (leaning back against chain-link fence)
    Kensuke (filming transport jets overhead)
    * Want to cut Touji and wheelchair from this frame, so layout is
difficult. Why?
Sound: (Basketball banging against rim)
  - Ball passes in/out of frame --
    Ball bangs against rim and falls through net. (Pan down?)
  - Sitting Shinji/Filming Kensuke

Sound: (Dribbling sound in background draws closer)
  Kensuke: Class Rep and the others left on this morning's flight.
  Shinji: ......
Description/Notes:
  - View of Shinji's back through fence.
    (Touji is hidden behind Shinji)
    (Touji's presence felt only through dribbling sound.)
    Kensuke keeps filming -- jet noise in the background.

  Kensuke (not taking eye from camera): That's right -- tomorrow.
    It doesn't seem to be an evacuation, though...

    Severely damaged school building -- Debris scattered over court.
    Touji dribbles slowly and prepares to shoot at end of cut.

  Touji: So, I just wanted to say-

  Touji: Thanks! (speaks/shoots basketball at same time)
  - Touji shoots.
Sound: (Basketball swishing through net and bouncing)
  - Basketball rebounds to Touji's hand in time with dialog.
    Touji looks up at Shinji.

Sound:
  Touji: And I really mean it, Shinji. Thanks.
  Shinji: ......
  Kensuke: See you later, Ikari. You take care.
  Shinji: ......
Description/Notes:
  - Distant shot -- long, drawn-out pause.
  - (as if to cheer Shinji up) Touji passes the basketball to
    Shinji without saying anything, but Shinji drops the ball.

Sound: (Ball bouncing sound growing fainter)
Description/Notes:
  - Shinji's hands remain where he failed to catch the basketball.
  - Shinji's hands quiver/convulse slightly.

Cut 41
Sound: (Jet noise)
Description/Notes:
  - Shinji's view.
    The basketball rolls away slowly.
    Noone else is in the court.
    Pan up (mid-cut) to jet contrails in the sky (stop).
