OsX is UNIX based. Linux is an opn source Unix OS, but is' not the only one.
As far as I know about HP an' Ipods, I believe they' just liscensing the
right to have HP brand ones, they' not involved in the production of Ipods
in general. The Ipod way predates the recent release of HP models.
