Really?  I wonder what set that precident?

Has anyone here seen the notes for the 'alternate' ending to EoE, where
Shinji is on the shore of the LCL sea without Asuka, holding Rei's hand
in his - and all there is of Rei is her dismembered *arm*?  I think in
the case of Eva its particularly difficult to determine the creators'
messages and intent, because you get such varried influences in their
creative decisions, no matter what the final product set to film
happened to be.   :-O

I didn't notice anything unusual in that regard.  Actually , I though
her performance as Shinji sounded rather feminine in parts of the TV
series as well: the scene in which he open's Rei's entry plug after  her
Eva is melted by the giant crystal angel (forgot # & name, sorry) seemed
a rather girlish voicer to me.
