I have to disagree most wholeheartedly (sp??)
Quoting certain parts of our post:

Gendou put Adams body into himself (a Lillith made body). Forbidding
joining. Nothing happened. Impact is a little more than that. Ritsuko says
"Now Eva has a human soul" on episode 23. All Evas except for Unit-01 were
made of Adam, human souls possesed the fruit of knowledge. Forbiding joining
of fruits took place, nothing happened.

I never spoke of soul disvisibility. Why isn't possible that Rei-001 had a
contact experiment with Eva-00 prior to her death? We know its possible to
have such contacts when the original subject retains its soul (Kyouko).

Since Rei has no mother, and she synchronizes not only to herself (Rei-001)
but also Yui, its obvious that mother-child stuff isn't the factor of
synchronization. Don't discard it as important for synch but not the
absolute factor.

And why would be similar between Rei and Yui? Because REI WAS MADE FROM
YUI!. The similarity comes from 'the flesh'! Some fleshly determination that
makes personalities be compatible.

Just look into this:
Shinji synchs to Yui. Shinji synchs to Rei-001. Asuka synchs to Kyouko. Rei
synchs to Yui and Rei-001.

What's the common factor between all of them if its not THE FLESH?

Shinji once was the same fles as Yui. Rei once was the same flesh as Rei-001
and the same flesh as Yui. Asuka was once the same flesh as Kyouko. That's
what determines the personal patterns, and that's the exclusive factor wich
permits synch.

The A^10 Nerve thing isn't obsolete. Just take a look: Which is the pilot
with lowest synch rate? Rei. She doesn't have a mother, thus the A^10
properties don't work at full throttle.
