Form what i can tell the lace moved on its own.  When  the original 
inpaled unit one it showed it can move of its own will it logical to 
think its copys can as well.

They prob needed the origenal cuz Lilith was the origenal. they where 
going to us Eva-01(liliths only ofspring) after they lost the origenal. 
sort of origenal for origenal - copy for copy sort of thing. the 
origenal retering was just sace for the goose.

I have no idea about this. but Eva-01 still had its head armor how would 
hair get thruw that.

They most likey did. Just like in EoE there was probly a delay. in EoE 
ppl didn't turn to LCL till well after unit 01 sprouted wings. by the 
time adam sprouted wings misato and the escape pod where alredy well 
away, and the probuly was a fare amout of time after that. so she was saved.
