About the link between soul and pilot:

The compatibility is about the bond between the soul and the pilot.
I have always think that the main reason of a high sync is the concience of 
the soul
in the eva.
But this is not the only reason for the sync, because...
... WHY Shinji could control Eva-02 in episode 8?
he wasn't there just as a passenger, because wen they tried to open the 
angel's
mouth Shinji also could pilot the Eva along with Asuka. Are Kyouko and 
Shinji related?
Kyouko and Shinji are not Related, but Kyouko had no reason to reject Shinji 
from the Eva.

And also...
I don't see the point of having motherless children piloting the evas or 
having them for potential pilots, if the souls inside the cores are not 
their mothers !!!, am i right???
And this is very strange, because it means that the soul inside Eva-03 has 
to be compatible to Touji, and also has to be of someone that had a contact 
experiment with the eva, right?
This is what i think...
Kyouko and Yui were scientists, they both did the contact experiments just 
because that were were their jobs, maybe Yui did it to remain in the eva, 
but i don't think that Kyouko did it for that reason.
In the series is never said that the soul of Kyouko is in the core because 
of the contact experiment, or that because of the experiment the core was 
left with the pattern, you are just assuming that.
Maybe there is more metaphysics involved in this. And maybe the soul is just 
there because it wants to be there, to protect the pilot.

THE SOUL IS NOT REI I, at least not specifficly Rei I.

Maybe the image is Rei I, but it doesn't mean that the soul inside Eva-00 is 
Rei I.
Thats for the simple reason that REI HAS ONE SOUL, LILITH'S SOUL, and wen 
Rei I died, the soul goes to Rei II and then Rei III. I have said that the 
soul inside Eva-00 is in fact rei, but the reason is a possible omnipresence 
of Lilith's soul.
Maybe the soul is in Rei II and also inside the core of the Eva-00. That 
omnipresence thing, also can explain the ghostly aparitions of Rei in 
episode 1 and in EoE. Because i don't believe that the aparition in episode 
1 were made by an use of the AT field.
