:
: I would have to agree here. This is one of his best volumes yet.

:
: Yes, Sadamoto's art is both more graphic and IMO more emotional than
the
: TV series. I am looking forward to seeing how he concludes the
manga
: series. His take on EoE (assuming that is the path he chooses)
should be
: something to see.

I'm waiting to see how he brings back Asuka & what happens to her. The
ending will either turn out to be disappointing (like EoE) or make the
whole series shine IMO. Perhaps it will lead or have a link into the
Angelic Days reality somehow, as the latter originated from TV
ep.26... (Making a whole new marketing angle from a 5 minute fantasy
scene in a serious series final episode is genius, like it or loathe
it)
:
: And as for the question in the other thread, I last watched the
movies
: about a year ago when a friend sent me the Italian version.
However, I
: have not watched the TV series for probably around 4-5 years now.
Maybe
: someday after everything (i.e. manga) is said and done I will go
back and
: watch it end to end. Who knows.

Expect you know it by heart & in your sleep :)

One other detail I noticed was Rei I. Sadamoto has made her "chibi"
(infant) as in the TV episode - with child's clothing, compared to a
pre-teen Rei II look in Death which added a couple years to her age (&
was scarier). The manga Rei I looks slightly less malicious as well.
Naoko's murder of her seems more cold fury than temporary insanity, in
the manga.
