Didn't know my name made the rounds like this... Fu~. This is with regards to the criticism of the femme-pronouns in my CI translations. (Oy vey.)
On July 26, 2006, "M" (you'll probably always be known as bochan_bird to the masses, like it or not) wrote:

Yes?

...Yes?
<<and it is also heavily influenced by Reichu's personal bias which, as EBJ described above, is "undue feminism at all costs.">>
Regardless of whether or not that is true (and the Internet is rather conducive to superficial impressions), such a matter is irrelevant, and reminds me somewhat of this:
Argumentum ad hominem (argument directed at the person): This is the error of attacking the character or motives of a person who has stated an idea, rather than the idea itself.
<<(She herself has stated that using the male pronoun "he/him" in the translation of certain passages grates on her personal philosophy.)>>
Actual quotes > paraphrasing. Incidentally, when I wrote what I believe you are referring to, I was intentionally poking fun at myself.
<< I believe I am familiar with most of the "evidence" for this theory,
and am absolutely confident that I can simply and logically refute
every single one, not to mention building a strong case that Adam/
Kaworu either represents masculine (Yang/Yo) qualities or is at the
very least "gender neutral".>>
If you are absolutely confident, then you're free to fork over your case at any time and allow it to be scrutinized by others.
The pronoun issue in the CI was a matter of my own discretion and, if they remain unchanged by the time I make an official release of the translation on my site, I'll be including many disclaimers and copious notes on everything -- so there shouldn't be any problems.
'pologies for anything relevant that I may have missed between where the Archive ends and today (my joining date).
