This essentially boils down to a "battle of semantics" and how
different people define "female". Some hold a rather more
stringent view than others, but within the context of the show it
seems a bit unnecessary, if not inappropriate.
FYI, the Spears do, in fact, provide masculine counterparts to the
Seeds.
