[EVA] The prequel rumor closer to reality?

I doubt that Anno is going to direct more Evangelion.
I don't doubt that Anno would be involved with any new Evangelion.

Which is to say that while Anno will probably produce or otherwise slap his 
name on whatever new Evangelion product that Gainax wants to throw at us 
next, I sincerely believe that there's no going home for him.

Now, as to what this new Evangelion product may be, I'm going to say that if 
Gainax really wanted to make money (which they do) they'd either make a 
series of OVAs that explore the mythology behind the series(First Ancestral 
Race For The Win!) or stand alone stories set during the run of the series 
giving people more of what they want to see (Giant Robot Battles!).

But I suspect that the truth will surprise us. If this gets off the ground. 
Which it might not.
