[EVA] The prequel rumor closer to reality? Or a "new translation"

I think a film or series that dealt with the years before the Second Impact would be entirely legitimate. There's plenty of room to detail the older two generations of characters, and you could even bring in the Children near the end. Of course, that wouldn't excuse such a prequel from having to be *good.*
