I was hoping that in the 60-odd email messages I found in my inbox that
there would have been one that actually constructed some sort of argument in
favour of this theory. I gather that this is not the only evidence for why
Adam is female?

This mailing list has a long tradition of insightful commentary and
argument. If there is a theory about why Adam is female it would nice to
have it laid out here for all to see and evaluate. Not all of us frequent
bulletin boards or trawl the web looking for any and all Evangelion-related
material. Indeed for some (such as myself) the mailing list is the sole
source of information about EVA.
