Yes, I think the expressions are the foremost change among them.
Instead of the
pre-psychotic frowns everybody seemed to wear in EoE, in this stage
(and ever
before, in truth) they have expressions that come as a mix of stony
and sad, and
feel curiously both determined and resigned.

@@The EoE expressions etc were one of the things that made EoE seem
different & apart from Eva TV.  OK, the movies were better quality
animation, but - especially noticable for Shinji, Misato, Ritsuko &
Asuka - their expressions were harder & more one-dimensional, like
their characters I guess.

@@Misato having a temporary pony tail is unique in the manga, but not
for Sadamoto.  The Misato pages in Der Mond (or Die Sterne) have an
illustration of her in combat fatigues & gun, with her hair in a pony
tail.

Compared to the 26-30 pages of the average stage, this was a half one
indeed, and
it could be surmised that this one was kind of a bonus thing, what
with being
short and nearly without innovation, Sadamoto might've just said
"whattaheck,
let's stick it in for the end of the year".

@@Have we enough new stages for another tankubon yet?  #76 seems
almost like filler to get a requisite # of pages, or for a
cliffhanger.
