If anything is shortened it must be the "voices" which talk to Shinji.
Shinji has already been through that in the manga a few volumes back
in the Sea of Dirac story IIRC,.  IF he does it, I hope Sadamoto makes
it all different.

I really hope the Shinji-Misato elevator scene is not shortened.  I'm
worried though because Sadamoto has relegated Misato to a less
important role than in the anime, all the way through.  To me the
elevator scene is what both compels & keeps me from watching EoE.  Its
that emotional.  Only Ginrei in Giant Robo & Emma in Z Gundam come
close.

As for Shinji & Asuka or Shinji & Rei, gimme Shinji & Misato! I'm sure
"Kaworu's ghost" will appear somewhere *shudders*
