ML member A: The Partial Soul Theory advocated by [Reichu and others]?
ML member B: It's just too far-fetched!
ML member C: It's still just a theory...
ML member A: Still, the PS theory 'is' one way to explain Kyouko's
accident and the aftermath.
ML member D: And it's already been confirmed - even if it seems after-
the-fact.
ML member E: The fact that it has been stated means that it must be
accepted.
ML member B: I'll accept it when and only when all the facts check out!
Reichu: ML members... they believe too much in their own ideas.
Aaron: Self-flattery?
Reichu: They are too obsessive... That type will never be able to
accurately understand reality.
Aaron: Yet people like that seek the truth... How ironic.
Reichu: They are not so noble... Discovery is joy, and
understanding leads to domination. All they seek after is their own
aggrandizement.
Haha... ^^;;;

Not angry, but more a bit skeptical because it basically makes the
duality (Ying/Yang (In/Yo)) which is stressed so much in the show a
non-issue, which again just seems wrong.
I have read through the Japanese and there are a number of major
revelations that should probably be taken more or less at face value
since they are reported to "come from Anno" and are essentially
extras (rewards for clearing stages and getting codes to unlock
secret information?) that have no effect on game scenarios or game
play (unlike the GOS games).
Any issues I have with it are that some parts seem at odds with the
show, and as you say seem to tie back into the original Evangelion
Proposal a bit, which raises the possibility that Anno also talked
about older settings that may or may not have been altered for actual
production.
Still, it deserves careful consideration.
I have not looked through the entire translation yet, but pending a
few issues do not really have too much to say on that, aside from a
particular bias that I will address in response to EBJ's post.

This is more in line with what people expect/want Kaworu to have
said. While it still does not alter the structure or interpretation
of the original Japanese as it stands, it does support the "Gainax/
Sadamoto messed up the dialog" theory, because now the last line of
that sequence ("Because the soul of this unit has shut itself away.")
makes no sense at all.
