I think the most important dualities in EVA are:

1.) Will there be/not be another ever so slightly tweaked version  
released on DVD?
2.) Will Sadamoto do/not do another chapter in next month's SHONEN ACE?
3.) Is the money in/out of your wallet?

And I think we all know the answers to these questions. Look at  
Christianity; it's been around for 2000 years and you can still whip  
out "The Lost Gospel of Judas" and suddenly all the Jesus/Mary  
Magdalen shippers are fired up again. EVA's only been around for a  
decade.
