The board made of PTA members and TV Tokyo execs got to screen the
scripts and
ditch what they thought they wouldn't want aired. Remember that TV
Tokyo is a
station with a very strict set of policies, such as no bloodshed on
screen (check
out Noir and notice how it's stylized so that even a show about
hitwomen is
nearly bloodless).
IIRC, they sacked the chief of programming for the Misato-Kaji
offscreen
intercourse.
It's very possible some sketches exist yet, but none of this became
public.

@@One thing that ADV did for their dub was put in dialogue between
Misato & Kaji for their college days lovemaking scene flashback
(during Misato's in-the-chair examination) in episode 25. The Japanese
track on ADVs VHS & DVDs has no talk between them, just the noise of a
fan (and Misato's embarassed cries as Shinji is watching it with her -
since its during Complementation).

Are there any Japanese DVDs, VHS or LDs that *do* have dialogue. Did
ADV's Matt Greenfield write the dub bit himself, or was he using an
adapted Gainax script?
