Some of the visuals for the ending were filmed and ditched, then later
redone for
the movies. Which is why the budget was depleted before the end of the
series and
we got so many still images and the sketched version of the ending.
I say it was for the best.
@@I wonder if the original storyboards for Eva TV episodes still exist
