For the Gunbuster 1 movie, Gainax *rearranged* the events to form a
change of events.  It was mainly episodes 1 & 2.  The movie started
with Noriko's father's ship being attacked & destroyed (ep.2) & Ota
being sent off with the mission etc...

Then, cutting out most, it went to & through the scenes of ep.1
quickly, with Noriko's re-dedication & beach jog in her robot doubling
as the introduction.
Shortly after which the episode 3 events. Hardly any Jung Freud at
all, until near the end.  I sincerely hope Eva gets better treatment,
GB movie had no new scenes though.
