Do the individual DVD releases that followed the big collector's box count 
as a 3.5?

The R1 DVD release history confuses people enough, but how's a foreigner 
like me to get a foot hold on the original Japanese release history? Like, 
what are the differences between the various versions, and such? 
(Pre-Renewal, anyway.) Is there detailed info on this compiled anywhere?
