Thank you for the astute and (hopefully) elucidating observations. I've
been explaining for years in much the same way the TV/E ending to my friends
after watching Evangelion with them.
As far as TV vs. E I don't think it's prudent to compare the two
competitively (not that you did, Sailor, I'm merely throwing it out there);
indeed as they happen concurrently and are both *canon* it is so much more
enlightening to have both "aspects" (mental and physical, as I think you've
dubbed them). It probably would have been more confusing if the two endings
were combined and viewed simultaneously.
Of course I'm 'preaching to the choir,' but this show is *absolutely
asounding*.
