See, Kaworu was so popular for only being in one episode as a villain, 
Gainax decided that it must have been the "wo" that grabbed the audience's 
attention. Thus the new title.

I'm just amazed that Gainax didn't wait till the anniversary of Second 
Impact for the premiere. Something's wrong with this picture.

(And sadly, the EVA manga won't end before the new films begin.)
