I disagree. Stages 76 and 77 were 15 and 12 pages respectively, true, but conversely one of the stages right before those two was well above the usual number of pages (don't have them at hand now). IIRC, this book started at stage 71, therefore we have 7 stages and the page count should be within the average due to the above.

I'll check how many pages this makes once I'm back from work and have the actual stages in hand to count.
