Yes, well, this ML, though made of Internet and thus only as authoritative 
as the sources it can quote, has tried for almost 10 years now to go about 
facts of the show/manga, and any opinion that I can remember having been 
expressed during my stay (since summer 1998) was either required to be 
substantiated by facts or was simply dropped. This is not to put "us" on a 
moral high ground, it's just the reason why you get this kind of response.

There's enough to find it in that bit you quoted, but also look for 
"sadamoto interview" or such in the subject line, also in reference to the 
discussion thread about Stages 74 and 75 (chiefly the last one, IIRC) and 
related tangents.

I guess I forgot to mention above that we assume everybody reads the 
archives and gets up to speed about mentioned facts, which is probably why 
you feel the disconnect.
