[EVA] Did Shinji rape unconscious Asuka?

I agree with what Carl wrote. From what I understand,  the scene was
supposedly a commentary to the otaku who think Asuka, Rei, Misato and the
like are only sex-objects and who use them as fap fuel. Shinji did NOT rape
Asuka, he masturbated. Like Aaron pointed out, Shinji wasn't in the best
state of mind, being suicidally-depressed what with everything around him
gone to hell will cause him to act in a ways he normally(? Though
masturbating is perfectly normal, Shinji --being the extreme(??) prude he
is--probably has something against, too (See his disgusted reaction in EoTV
and EoE to Misato's college sessions for an example))  wouldn't.

To expand on what Ebj said, Asuka most likely only JUST returned to reality
at the film's end; Shinji having been alone for God knows who long. Asuka's
caressing his cheek was to get Shinji to stop strangling her, as well as to
reassure him, yes, he IS alive. Shinji broke down sobbing at remembering his
mother's farewell caress, while Asuka quite literally said "I feel bad"
(kimochi=feel warui=morally/socially bad) due to disgust at his pathetic
nature. She has a similar look on her face after Shinji falls and when he
throws the chairs around in the P3II coffeepot scene. (The human mind is
quite interesting, indeed~finding somebody pathetic clearly won't stop you
from liking them! ;))

And in terms of that pregnancy rumor, the only think I know Anno-sensei said
was this, in the infamous Yuko Miyamura interview: "Concerning the final
line we adopted, I'm not sure whether I should say about it in fact. At last
Anno asked me "Miyamura, just imagine you are sleeping in your bed and a
stranger sneaks into your room. He can rape you anytime as you are asleep
but he doesn't. Instead, he masturbates looking at you, when you wake up and
know what he did to you. What do you think you would say?" I had been
thinking he was a strange man, but at that moment I felt disgusting. So I
told him that I thought "Disgusting." And then he sighed and said, "I
thought as much."

Though there is some "fan" who was on the Mythology of Evangelion Platinum
DVD extra, Sean McCoy, I think (? somebody correct me if I'm wrong) who
apparently speard false rumors in the 90s about Asuka and Shinji having had
sex on the Beach. *roll*
