I think that if Gainax had gone straight to the movies, instead of
doing Renewal first, whatever improvement the movies have would be so
much greater from an eye candy POV.

If the Eva movies are similar to the Gunbuster & GB v Diebuster
movies, they will be disappointing.

Don't really think Star Wars compare as I to III are completely new
stories.
