Shinji's killing Kaworu is indeed a foreshadowing to his strangling Asuka.
Wheater its in the Pre 3rd Impact Instrumentality coffeepot scene context
(most likely) or in the final scene when Shinji confirms Asuka is back and
he's alive/getting his revenge at Asuka's taking so damn long to return, is
of course unseen. (Though probably not, would be narratively fucked up if
the ending's A/S, same with R/S. If anything, Manga Shinji should be alone
ala Last B. Provided he screams at the end. ;)) Apparently Sadamoto feels
Shinji strangling Asuka in P3II because of her lying throughout it/coldness
towards Shinji isn't enough motivation for the boy to snap. :roll:

Yup. The manga'll end at volume 13. Would be nice if it happens sometime
within the next year though. -_-; And yes it would be nice to see Sadamoto
do something unique instead of doing a blow-by-blow account of the series.
He already changed the character's personalties and all, might as well make
the story using mostly his own ideas too while he's at it. ;)
