I suppose a canon story OVA could be done about the 3 months of
mission-time (15 years on Earth), when Jung was co-pilot with Noriko
in Gunbuster after Kazumi had stayed back on Earth.
The slap that Jung gave Kazumi when handing over Gunbuster's key to
her, & Jung's tears alone - are IMO very indicative of how much she
knows she will miss Noriko.

BTW after EoE, does anyone think Shinji will be pining for/hoping to
reunite with Rei?  Losing "Mum" twice, almost.
