> So are we all at least in agreement it's Rei I inside zerogoki (which would explain why Shinji and Rei could synch with the other's Eva.
Um, no, we're not.
>Shogoki=Yui,
Yes.
>Zerogoki=Rei I, Rei=Lilith's soul, Yui's DNA) and >not any of that Akagi Naoko crap? ^_^;
Hmm, not sure. The latter doesn't make sense, but the sooner doesn't either (why Rei I? Even going to the lengths of surmising her death was planned so as to make this possible...the whole thing is too convoluted for something nobody ever bothered not only to explain.
>(e.g., 23': "The me inside Eva",
This one is certainly suggestive, but once again too little of it is said to make anything definite.
> the vision of Rei I shown in 14 (creepy-looking Rei floating
> upwards) and 25 (same image but she's disembodied), etc, etc)
The recycling nature of ep.25 makes it a dubious source for visual references, at best. Episode 14 is as valid as ep.23'.
> >No evidence of Rei using special powers a la Kaworu (specially when Kaworu
> defines the factors that let him move Eva-02, factors which the case of Rei
> and Eva-00 don't meet).
Agreed that there is no such evidence. I'd like to point out that Kaworu's sentence is ambiguous in formulation.
> No evidence of Rei (II) using special powers [towards zerogoki], no, but Rei
> III is the clone that's "awakened" (Lilith).
Hm, I would not put "Lilith" here. Also, dash the square brackets from the sentence, otherwise consider Rei appearing to Shinji in episode 1.
>(Neutralizing Kaworu's AT Field
> in 24',
Indicates she has an ATField of a Source of Life.
>"I'm home" in 25',
Self-explanatory and not indicative of anything but what it says.
> being able to be in two places at once thanks to
> Quantum Magic in 26' etc,
Please note the status of her ATField at the time. Rather than being in multiple places, her ATField is all around the place.
> >All of these were rejected because there was the supposition made fact that
> souls cannot be copied/divided.
Because they could either be explained otherwise or were otherwise inconclusive, unfounded, or plain non-sequiturs.
> Just where in the anime or manga is anything like that said? :?
If they could copy a soul, wouldn't they do that in order to have the children run the Evas without having to kill/make their parents insane (that's assuming they didn't want the children miserable, which at some point could even be the case, but that by itself would require its own reasons)? Wouldn't the Evas need not a salvaged soul, that way? But instead, all Evas are said to have a salvaged soul (Eva-00 is a source of puzzlement there, as are the Eva series), and the parents are dead. Even considering how Yui did it by herself, Kyouko would at least raise the question.
