You have won an Internet. ^_^ That is correct. (Hence why it would make
sense Rei is somehow inside zerogoki.) eg, Why would Naoko want to kill
Ritsuko? She's not Kyoko! /very bad joke.

Agreed. Rei II herself said some...where.... "Even if I die, I can be
replaced." I believe Rei II knows she's a clone, but obviously not of what
(Lilith) and who (Yui) until Rei III comes along and realizes this (in part
thanks to Kaworu). Though in terms of Naoko's suicide, I don't think Gendou
planned Naoko's death. More than anything Rei overheard him muttering about
that to himself and being only a little kid (5 or so?), perhaps thought Dr.
Akagi getting pissed off was some kind of game. Who knows? *shrugs*
