[EVA] [META] With all the talk of the new movies

I understand where the opposition is coming from.

Cut and dry, the content is copywrited. Immano, your initial comment didn't
bother me in the slightest. You merely stated the rules, and even though I
felt that you came across as subtley condescending, I also felt you had the
right to feel that way. It was the persistence that ended up getting to me.

I've been a member of this mailing list for about three years now; not as
long as many of you, but I do keep up on the reading and discussions even
though I don't participate. I know, Immano, you don't lack subtlety. You
know that there is an extreme difference in setting up and promoting an
Internet-Anime-Pirating-Ring and passing along a 30 second advertisement.

If you'll read my initial comment you'll notice I didn't ask *for* the clip;
I merely asked if anyone knew where I could find it. When Aaron told me it
was on a DVD I already owned, as far as I was concerned the problem was
solved. He offered to post it to make sure it was the one I was talking
about (which it was).

I'm not going to post the clip anywhere. I'm not going to share it. I just
wanted to see it because I've been feeling nostalgic as of late regarding
Evangelion, and since it was my first glimpse of something truly special, I
held it in some value.

I overreacted earlier, and I apologize to Immano and anyone else I provoked
or attacked.

What began as innocent fishing for fond reminiscence escalated into
something bad. I'd like to ask you to pardon my moxie earlier: I meant no
ill will toward this list or anything related to it.
