"Persistence" implies continuity. There was but a single exchange: Me, you, 
me. Too little for "persistance" by standards of common sense or even the 
internet: we didn't go on a decalogical tirade. In other words, it took you 
way too little, in my opinion, to flare up, especially because - and mind 
you that I have had recent occasion to experience this myself on this very 
list recently, so once again I'm not climbing on any horse - through the 
restricted channels of email conversation one cannot perceive tone, intent, 
attitude, nor sarcasm, thus prudency is paramount.
I am inclined to think that you interpreted my comment about press kits and 
such as spiteful or malevolently sarcastic. It was not so. Bad of me to have 
presumed it wouldn't be interpreted as such, worse of you not to even 
consider otherwise.
This said, there was little harm done, no offense taken on my part, so 
please don't take this as condescendence, reproach, whatever. Just as you 
decided to clear your position, so I decided to expand mine, which I had 
already stated replying to Carl.

Of course there is a difference, and I am not bringing up the principle for 
reasonsa already explained to Carl. Nor do I believe this will become a hub 
of redistribution under your direction or anybody else's. What I said simply 
had to be said by somebody, lest it resembled that transactions of more 
damaging proportions be tolerable.

I'll gladly join in on apologizing to the List for the META traffic 
generated because of this.
