Thanks for the translation! It means a lot to see someone step up and fill M's big shoes. 

At this point, Sadamoto just seems to be transcribing End of Evangelion, though giving us an insight into Shinji's mind during his not-quite suicidal phase is a welcome change. Is he using similar imagery for the manga as the film did?

(Insert snarky remark about how he began the manga before the original TV series began a decade ago, and will finish it after the remake ends. It'll be really witty. I promise.)
