It's going to be difficult to get them. WebCite doesn't have copies
period. The IA has blocked the archived pages - although I can't seem
to find the relevant robots.txt! There are copies of the Otsuki one
scattered online, but the Mainichi archives in the website do not have
anything about Evangelion, nor do Google site searches of some of the
related sites turn anything up besides Eva merch. I also checked in
the Factiva and LexisNexis databases and found nothing of help; they
don't seem to have anything from Mainichi direct, and certainly not
their English websites. Interlibrary loan won't help either if the
articles were never included in a print edition, which seems to be the
case.
So that means either using a copied version from forums etc, minus
pictures and reliability, convincing the IA to give you access (which
I've never heard of them doing, although I've never heard of anyone
trying either), finding some database I missed, or going to Mainichi
direct and hoping you can find English-speaking staffers.
