> 1 - Evangelion has no religious meaning.
Are you referring to Kazuya Tsurumaki at Otakon 2001? Citation please.
> 2 - You *do*? You're an expert in psychology, science, cultural concepts?
No. I'm not. I don't claim to be. YOU are the one claiming to be the
one who is going to review and decide upon the truth and validity of what
has been written on Evangelion. Being extremely knowledgeable of the show
and all of the source material it draws upon would be necessary to do what
you're endeavoring to do. So again, are you an expert on all aspects of
Evangelion's creation?
In case you haven't noticed, I typically get up on on the soap box when
someone pushes a theory or interpretation as "truth". And that "I
think"... should be employed rather than "It is...".
> I gradually realized that after years of respecting you and Rachel as
> Fandom Gods
That is a delusion we did not, at any point, purport to you. We're just a
bunch of geeks. We've been pretty self-effacing, and at times
self-deprecating about the very small slice of fame, notoriety, or
whatever it is you want to call it that we have (if we have it at all).
People approach me at cons, and are all like "You're so cool", and I'm all
like "NO NOT RLY". Well... there was that one time Otaprince got my tipsy
at Katsucon... shit got a little wacky.
> That's the kind of thinking that will have no place after the ReVolution:
V, I hate to break it to you, but you are just one outlandish guy in a
costume trying to change the way we all think, and so far, you've not
managed to sway anyone here to your cause. I think that's a fair bet that
you'll only manage to sway the ignorant and weak minded. I hope you like
being surrounded by flunkies.
> and by the same logic, do you preserve *mine*?
"Oh, sure, you just take off your little mask and show us all who you
really are. Hmm?"
> "The ReVolution" is tossing out the old methodology of "we're free to
> believe what we want, and tell ourselves what we want to hear"
"So this is how liberty dies... with thunderous applause."
> Oh you misunderstand; when I say "we" I mean the boys and girls that
> support the ReVolution.
If you're referring to the handful of people from YouTube you've got under
your thumb, I'm not very impressed. They're not the brightest crayons in
the box.
