The original version for Rebirth had a different soundtrack in some bits 
and a different dub as well. It was a vastly inferior dub to the version 
that ended up being part of Air, you can actually hear Asuka's part 
being way less heartfelt than in the subsequent redub. As for the 
visuals, I don't quite remember, I just seem to recall some talk about 
slight montage changes, and even then I don't remember whether it was 
between theatrical and (true)/WOWOW or (true) and (true^2). I do think 
the ending credits between theatrical and (true) were different, but I 
can't confirm it.
