[EVA] ADV Platinum booklets reliability

I already realized after Peter's last message that "the real Rebirth" has some value to it, yes.

To clarify by example, what I meant was that I don't stay up nights wishing "wow I hope real ReBirth comes along"...so much as I openly lament "why didn't we ever get an English release of the Addition Audio Drama?"  I'm toning down that criticism to that I really think there are bigger shortfalls...(it's not like we don't have "real ReBirth" circulating around anyway)

Which leads to a big question:  I've often wondered:  does anyone, anywhere, know at what point in the original "Death" that the future "Director's Cut scenes" took place?  Specifically, the Kaworu and Seele monoliths scene?

As is appropriate in your case, I'll answer your question with a question:

How do you expect to explain Evangelion, when you overlook the value in
studying and understanding the creative process?

What Manga passed off to us as Rebirth was not the real Rebirth.  While
there are no great revelations to be gleaned from the actual Rebirth, it
is nice to have amongst one's collection, and it gives a few small
insights into the creative process, much like scripts and storyboards.

To expand on this, I would also love it if someone were to include the
original two edits of Death into a release.  That's a longshot though.

I like to collect Evangelion stuffs.  Be it physical, or digital.  I don't
sink my savings into it, and it doesn't fill my life or my living space.

Also, I don't appreciate the insinuation that anyone who would want the
actual Rebirth is obsessive.  Not all collectors are obsessive nuts.  Not
all of us have a compulsive need to have everything.  Did you ever think
that collectors enjoy the intimacy that greater familiarity with the work
provides?  I for one enjoy the opportunity to flip through production
materials and review production sketches and references.

Let's try to keep it productive here V.
