[EVA] ADV Platinum booklets reliability

Addition makes the tongue-in-cheek "Eva was making fun of other Giant Anime tropes" side of the series very obvious.
If it was actually in the set, more casual fans would realize "oh, they were making fun of such and such trope"....some people honestly take Eva at face value then act surprised when the character arcs aren't very formulaic (i.e. how Watchmen was a twist on Superhero stuff; i.e. Night Owl II is a wimp, and so is Shinji)....
...instead....have you *seen* the FUNimation trailers for Rebuild? Full of action scenes, no better than the ADV ones. I'm worried that...they don't realize that much of the story is making fun of the conventions of the story.
I was surprised that the voice actors like Grant...are quote "aware" of things like ReDeath but haven't seen it in 14 years; but didn't someone say they're "aware" of the Addition Audio Drama?
Long story short: it would get more fans on the street to realize that "Eva was the product of, and a commentary on, decades of Giant Robot shows and was very much a genre-aware show, breaking rules as it redefined them"

I'm toning down that criticism to that I really think there are bigger shortfalls...(it's not like we don't have "real ReBirth" circulating around anyway)
Why would we want an official release? The translation is enough,
unless you *want* to hear Spencer do some more whining (and no doubt
Greenfield would be cast as the Black God).
