When they announced the license just before new years, they threw up a
small site. I took a screen capture of that site and included it in my
news post on EvaMonkey.

It states very specifically that they were planning to release 1.01. Now,
from what I can tell, what happened is that while they were beginning to
bring the title statewide, there was another title update. And logically,
they would want to get that, as they stated in the panel. By "in flux",
that reads to me as that they were trying to upgrade their planned release
from 1.01 to 1.11. For whatever reason, most likely because of the
timetable, they simply couldn't bring it out as 1.11 in November. I
realize that they had many months to get this squared away, but the
business world, in some ways, moves slow, and in other ways, moves fast.
I'm not surprised their plans to acquire 1.11 fell through.
Your assumption is that it was avoidable because it fits your belief that
they're trying to cash in as much as possible, which isn't fair. I
understand you're trying to inform people, but the way you're going about
it is known as slander. You're slandering Funimation. You can get sued
for that. You won't though. You're not important enough to merit the
effort.
