The episode synopses came with screenshots from the episodes; the
Mecha Files came with line drawing/schematics of the respective units,
as did the Designs Selections; the Review came with a generic pose of
Shinji in plug suit, and the Merchandise section with a collage of
items - a Misato figurine, an Eva (01, I think) figurine, some random
artwork, and a bunch of what looks like (by the bad art) to be
doujinshi. The Controversy came with EoE screenshots, but also one
picture of some boxes and wires which I don't recognize but vaguely
feel is meant to be a bomb; the Manga Review has 2 covers and 3
snippet-scans.

The mecha and other designs get a little copyright Gainax notice at
the bottom; hence it's my assumption those illustrations are taken
from one of the books or magazines listed in the bibliography.

The descriptions though, of episodes & designs, I think are PA's work.
They don't feel official and are coy about some things that one might
expect an official source to've just said outright (the Jet Alone
malfunction is mysterious?).
