[EVA] Alternate Rei on DVD cover

For the most part, I'd put the TV ending between when everyone reverts to LCL, and when Shinji starts talking with Rei about how this isn't really what he wants...maybe a scene or two would be earlier, but not necessarily.

Oh no, you can't possibly ask THAT of V; that would be like writing
fanfiction, and He so opposes that.

I would have liked to see a cohesive whole between both endings; starting
with Shinji being pierced by the lance and ascending into the metaphorical
throne of souls, and from there, we cold intercut the 25-26 episodes;
Misato's could be shown the moment before the blinding flash of white
impacts and dismembers her, Asuka's would be as she is grasping, reaching
up, repeating the mantra of "I'll kill you" with all the anger and rage and
spite she has stored for herself, and then we can have the interconnection
of Shinji's happy AU, maybe even expand it to have him waiting like a lost
little puppy at the door for his parents to arrive, and they never come. He
leaves the apartment and goes over to Asuka, running down the asphyxiating
dark hallway of the comfort 17 mansion before he begins pounding on her
door, echoing the sentiment of regret and desperation he had during the
intro of EoE.

Asuka opens, but it's a spent Asuka, hollow, nothing but a shell of the
happy. tomboyish best friend Shinji has come to know and expect, and then we
can cut into the coffee table scene where Shinji pathetically asks for Asuka
to stay with him, only to end up strangling him.
