we could debate the hows whys and whatfors of "WILL" Hollywood get Live-Action Eva "right", until the cows come home. With little solid stuff to go on, I reserve my venom for "dear god you cast not a single East Asian in Last Airbender"
Still, one of the core principles of the ReVolution is "regardless of WILL Hollywood get it right, it is at least theoretically possible that they could...so we should strive for that"
as opposed to books and stories that are universally regarded as "unfilmable", like a Milton Bradley board game.

I think it had more to do with the directional staff than weta workshop. In
any event, hoping that the Live Action movie follows religiously the views
of the fans is like expecting every single remake of every single movie ever
made to follow the views of the fans and compliment the original. It's never
going to happen.
Fans will always feel cheated in some ways, they will always find something
to rage about, and they will always make grandoise statement about how "this
ruined the fandom! I'm never seeing anything like this again, EVER!" or how
"This person has no idea what this really mean! everybody knows it's applied
phlebotinium!"
In other words, unless you know someone who can get you inside the
development team, expect to see Kate Ross or Sean Icarus as the main
characters.
