[EVA] [spoiler?] Another theory

        I was just thinking, what if NERV and SEELE had both ADAM and
Lilith?  Maybe ADAM were against the Angels, since he did commit the 
original sin.  Maybe NERV or SEELE was hiding ADAM in a place where the 
Angels can't detect him, and is instead drawn to Lilith.  And through ADAM 
or Lilith, SEELE used their seven eyes to reveal to them what was to happen 
and use their "technology".
     
## Not sure about this. This highly depends on the symbolism we make out 
## from those "Adam" and "seven eyes" stuff. 
     
        Also, SEELE let Lilith grow because there was more infomation to be
recovered from her (and to lure the Angels there), but stops the growth with 
the Spear because they might lose control of her.  But then you might ask, 
why don't they let ADAM grow?  I think that ADAM was too powerful to control 
other than in his embryo form, and/or so that the Angels cannot find him.

## actually relating to the plots in the series. 
## Your theory is very plausible. SEELE might have used Lilith to get the 
## LCL they want for the research of EVA, Rei and Magi. It is also very 
## likely that they use the Spear to stop Lilith from completing her 
## growth. In the movies we see Lilith fully-grown and able to 
## communicate with Rei!! So the HCP/3rd-impact we see in the movie 
## is actually Lilith's version.
     
        But then I have a question.  If what Kaworu got to was Lilith, could
he have caused the Third Impact?  I mean don't the Angels have to reunite 
with ADAM to cause it?

## I think Kaworu could have chosen to merge with Lilith, thus triggering
## 3rd Impact, but he chose not to. He despised Lilith, and would have
## nothing to do with her. 

## As for whether the Angels have to reunite with ADAM to cause 3rd
## Impact, I don't think it's absolutely necessary. As we can see,
## Lilith can cause 3rd Impact, even the EVA's can start it.
