That scene is *very* ambiguous.  When I first watched it I thought they 
were having a quicky in the alleyway, and rewound it again to see if it 
was what I saw.  Much later Gainax cleared up the controversy and said 
that she was indeed throwing up.  The thing is that had it been clear 
that that was what she was doing, they wouldn't have to make that disclaimer.
