they are just big words trying to impress the viewers, nothing major.  I 

## But then this kind of visual display has become the trademark of 
## Evangelion. This _is_ the art style of Evangelion :)

wish the US covers could also have preserved the kanji backgrounds since 
they look so nice, even to people who don't know Japanese.

## I am very disappointed to hear that they actually made efforts to
## remove those kanji!! What did they do it for? For the consumers??
## It either shows that the US audience does not appreciate things
## that look unfamiliarly Japanese (or foreign), or the marketing
## people assume that the US audience think this way. Cultural melting-
## pot syndrome?
