For better of for worse, the US leads the world in entertainment.  That's
probably because entertainment compnies spend vast amounts of money for big
names, special effects, etc.  People think that its better because you have all
the big names and other junk.  Another reason I think foreign films don't make it
in the US is because of the language barrier.  There are too few people in the US
that actually pay any attention to culture outside the US, which means little
interests in outside entertainment.

That's true, I can't think of any film covers that have white backgrounds.  Kind
of interesting.
