Personally, i think that episode 19 was the best, because of various
reasons. Not only was it the awekening of eva-01 but it conatined one of
the best lines in the series(which was mentioned before) 
The Scene goes like this:
Shinji runs into the cage, panting.
"I'm..... I'm....."
"Why are you still here?" Gendoh says.
"I'm..... I'm....." "I've Evangelion Unit 01's pilot... IKARI SHINJI!!"
And also the scene when eva01 goes beserk... well that's not one to
miss.
I don't really know much about the hotels in Japan. But when i go there
next year... maybe i can tell you when i get there!
