I think I read somewhere that there's 4 classical CD's out there under the 
Evangelion banner; not sure why, but I'm sure someone else on the ML would 
know..

## That's true!! They are all albums of purely classics music (not electronic
## rearrangement) used at somepoint in Evangelion. Talk about popularizing
## classical music to the young people!! I applaud this idea!
## And the idea seems to work. All 4 albums are on the Oricon chart (Oricon
## can be called the "Billboard" of Japan). Needless to say, the most 
## popular is the most familiar -- Beethoven's 9th symphony. As for the
## other, I think one is Verdi's Requiem, one is Handel's Messiah, and one
## is the J.S.Bach's cello sonata and various chamber pieces.

## Yeah, anime stores are stocking them too....

## Most of them are performed by musicians from Eastern Europe.
