[EVA]About Shinji and Rei

What do you think about Shinji and Rei do u think that there actually
connected by blood or do you think Gainax was just trying to confuse you with
the talk that came out of the blu flame between Yui and Gendou?  Also what is
the connection between Rei and Yui.  I think that some how that since the
original Rei was lost they copied parts of Yui to halp make up for some of
the parts of "Rei" that they couldn't find or else they wouldn't repeat it
soo many times that Rei looked like Yui.  or again do you think the Gainax
was just trying to confuse you?
