Well, volume 4 finally arrived in England and I must confess I LOVE IT ! In
my humble opinion Sadamoto makes the story flow far better than the anime.
The initial meeting was a vast departure from the anime, basically episode
8 of the anime has been ripped to pieces and rebuilt.

The characters seem to develop well, especially Asuka who seems at least to
show more signs of "normal" behaviour ( maybe Sadamoto is building her up
even more in preparation for her fall ). Despite not appearing much and not
playing a central role I've got to say I love Rei !!! The total disdain she
shows Asuka was glorious to behold as was Asuka's reaction and Shinji's
response :). 

All in all, a damn good read ( look at the pictures and use limited
Japanese language skills ) was ( and is being ) had. However, it's going to
bugger up my social life as I sit down for long periods and try to decipher
the dialogue }:-)
